More Than Musical's Launching Gala | 8pm - 10pm, Sat 19 Nov 2016.

We will have a sneak peek of our "La Traviata" by Hana Park, soprano and Yang Yang, baritone, followed by an opera talk by Nic Muni, an opera director from the US.

Director Nicholas Muni
Nic Muni has recently been appointed Artistic Director at the AJ Fletcher Opera Institute at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. In addition, he also teaches acting and stagecraft at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia and Bard Conservatory of Music Vocal Arts Program. His productions have been seen at San Francisco Opera and New York City Opera,His revival of Jenůfa at the Canadian Opera Company in 2003 received Canada's prestigious DORA award for best theater production of the year. He served as Artistic Director for the Tulsa Opera (1987-93) and Cincinnati Opera (1996-2005)

Soprano Hana Park
In 2016, Hana received New Musician Award from the Journal of Music in South Korea and she is the winner of the Great Lakes Region of 2010 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the recipient of the Corbett Award and Italo Tajo Memorial Award of the Corbett Opera Competition at CCM, and Grand-Prix and Audience Award from The Seventh International Lied Competition of Japanischen Schubert – Gesellschaft abroad. She received degrees in Voice from Seoul National University (B.M) and University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (M.M and D.M.A.) and she teaches at Seoul National University. In the summer of 2009 at Wolf Trap Opera she performed the roles of Mimi in La Bohème. The Washington Post wrote that, “As the emotional center of the opera, she glowed.”
